Aaron Sebastian is a rising college freshman at the University of Pennsylvania studying International Relations and Economics with concentrations in International Development and Arabic. A Las Vegas native, Aaron has had experience with the Department of Justice as a Student Clerk, working to support the US Attorneys office in an administrative capacity. Aaron has also worked with the United States Senate on a legislative and foreign policy portfolio, supporting specific committee and policy work.
Aaron has worked on initiatives relating to political campaigns, passing legislation for domestic violence and human trafficking advocacy, and conducting research regarding transportation policy & voting practices in the South Asian diaspora. His varied interests in human rights advocacy, international political economy, and humanitarian development are what especially drew him to the Emerging Practitioners in International Security program. As an avid chess player, documentary critic, and Persian cuisine fan, Aaron enjoys learning about new cultures and perspectives, and furthering relationships beyond intellectual and cultural differences. At Coalescion, Aaron hopes to utilize his experiences to effect a positive impact on the dynamic global community we find ourselves in today.
